These Terms and Conditions of Use (“Terms”) constitute a binding and legally enforceable agreement between you (“User”, “you”, or “your”) and SecureTax Management Private Limited (“SecureTax”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). They govern your access to and use of our website www.securetax.co.in, mobile or web applications, and all associated tax, accounting, and compliance services (collectively, the “Platform” and “Services”).
By accessing or using the Platform or Services, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age, have read and understood these Terms, and agree to be bound by them. If you are using the Platform on behalf of an organisation, you agree to these Terms on that organisation's behalf.
If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the Platform or Services. Your continued use after any updates to these Terms will constitute acceptance of the revised version.
1. Changes to These Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. When we do, we will update the “Last Updated” date above and, where the changes are material, notify you via email or a prominent notice on the Platform.
We encourage you to review these Terms periodically. Your continued use of the Platform following any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

2. About the Platform and Services
SecureTax is a technology-enabled professional services firm offering tax, accounting, and compliance solutions to clients in India and the United Kingdom. Our Services include, but are not limited to:
- Income tax return preparation and filing (India & UK)
- GST registration, compliance, and return filing
- Bookkeeping, accounting, and payroll management
- Company incorporation and secretarial services
- Self-assessment and PAYE services (UK)
- Tax advisory, planning, and consultation
- Access to informational resources, blogs, and guides via the Platform
Certain Services may be delivered in partnership with authorised third-party service providers. Where this is the case, additional terms specific to those services may apply and will be communicated to you at the point of engagement.
The Platform and its content are provided for general informational and service delivery purposes. Nothing on the Platform constitutes legal, financial, or investment advice unless delivered as part of a formal, contracted engagement with SecureTax.
3. User Eligibility and Account Registration
You represent and warrant that:
- You are at least 18 years of age
- You have not been previously suspended or removed from the Platform
- You have the legal right and authority to enter into these Terms
- All information you provide during registration and use is accurate, current, and complete
- You will promptly update your information if it changes
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You must notify us immediately at legal@securetax.co.in if you suspect any unauthorised access to your account.
SecureTax reserves the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms or any applicable law.
4. Permitted and Prohibited Use
4.1 Permitted Use
You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to access and use the Platform solely for the purpose of availing the Services for your personal or business use in accordance with these Terms.
4.2 Prohibited Use
You must not, and must not attempt to:
- Use the Platform for any unlawful, fraudulent, or malicious purpose
- Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your identity or affiliation
- Upload or transmit viruses, malware, or any other harmful code
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Platform or its infrastructure
- Scrape, crawl, or systematically extract data from the Platform without prior written consent
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any software forming part of the Platform
- Use the Platform to send unsolicited communications or spam
- Remove, alter, or obscure any copyright, trademark, or proprietary notices
- Reproduce or redistribute any content from the Platform for commercial purposes without authorisation
- Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Platform
5. Your Obligations
When using our Services, you agree to:
- Provide accurate, complete, and up-to-date information required for the performance of the Services
- Cooperate with SecureTax and respond to reasonable requests in a timely manner
- Ensure all documents and data you provide are authentic and lawfully obtained
- Comply with all applicable tax laws, regulatory requirements, and filing deadlines in your jurisdiction
- Review and verify the accuracy of any returns, filings, or documents prepared by SecureTax before submission
- Notify SecureTax promptly of any changes to your circumstances that may affect the Services
You acknowledge that the quality and accuracy of the Services are dependent on the completeness and accuracy of the information you provide. SecureTax shall not be liable for errors arising from incomplete, inaccurate, or late information provided by you.
6. Fees and Payment
Fees for the Services will be as agreed in your service engagement letter or as displayed on the Platform at the time of purchase. All fees are:
- Quoted inclusive of applicable taxes unless stated otherwise
- Due and payable as specified in your engagement or at checkout
- Non-refundable once work has commenced, except as required by applicable consumer protection laws
SecureTax reserves the right to revise its fee structure at any time. Revised fees will apply to new or renewed engagements and will be communicated in advance.
In the event of late or non-payment, SecureTax reserves the right to suspend the Services until outstanding amounts are settled.
7. Intellectual Property
All content on the Platform — including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, icons, images, software, and compiled data — is the property of SecureTax Management Private Limited or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws in India and the United Kingdom.
You are granted a limited licence to access and use the Platform for personal or internal business use only. You may not reproduce, distribute, publicly display, create derivative works from, or exploit any part of the Platform content for commercial purposes without our prior written consent.
Any feedback, suggestions, or ideas you submit to us may be used by SecureTax without obligation to you.
8. Confidentiality
SecureTax treats all information you provide as confidential and will not disclose it to third parties except:
- As required to deliver the Services (e.g., filing with HMRC or the Income Tax Department)
- As required by applicable law, court order, or regulatory authority
- With your prior written consent
- To professional advisors bound by equivalent confidentiality obligations

9. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Platform and its content are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, SecureTax makes no warranties — express, implied, or statutory — including but not limited to:
- Implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose
- That the Platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free from viruses
- That the information on the Platform is complete, accurate, or current at all times
While we strive to maintain accurate and up-to-date information, tax laws and regulations change frequently. You should verify any regulatory or legal information independently or through a qualified professional before relying on it.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, SecureTax and its directors, employees, agents, and partners shall not be liable for:
- Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
- Loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or business opportunities
- Losses arising from inaccurate or incomplete information provided by you
- Penalties, interest, or charges imposed by tax authorities due to late or incorrect filings where the delay or error was caused by information you provided
- Any losses arising from your reliance on third-party content or linked websites
- Any interruption, suspension, or termination of the Platform or Services
Where liability cannot be excluded by law, our total aggregate liability to you in connection with any claim under these Terms shall not exceed the fees paid by you to SecureTax in the three (3) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for fraud, gross negligence, or any liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless SecureTax, its directors, officers, employees, agents, and affiliates from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, penalties, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to: (a) your use of the Platform or Services; (b) your breach of these Terms; (c) any inaccurate, false, or misleading information you provide; or (d) your violation of any applicable law or third-party rights.
12. Third-Party Links and Services
The Platform may contain links to third-party websites or integrate with third-party services (e.g., government portals such as the Income Tax e-filing portal, GSTN, or HMRC). These are provided for convenience only.
SecureTax does not endorse, control, or accept responsibility for any third-party content, products, or services. Your use of any linked site is entirely at your own risk and governed by that site's own terms and policies.
13. Termination
Either party may terminate a service engagement by providing written notice in accordance with the terms of the relevant engagement letter. SecureTax reserves the right to immediately suspend or terminate your access to the Platform if you:
- Breach any provision of these Terms
- Provide false or misleading information
- Engage in fraudulent, abusive, or unlawful conduct
- Fail to make payment when due
Upon termination, your licence to use the Platform ceases immediately. Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination (including confidentiality, intellectual property, limitation of liability, and governing law) shall continue to apply.
14. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
14.1 India Users
For users accessing the Platform from India, these Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of [City], India. Prior to initiating legal proceedings, both parties agree to attempt resolution through good-faith negotiation for a period of 30 days.
14.2 UK Users
For users accessing the Platform from the United Kingdom, these Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, without prejudice to your statutory rights as a consumer under applicable UK law.
15. Force Majeure
SecureTax shall not be liable for any delay or failure to perform its obligations under these Terms to the extent that such delay or failure is caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, natural disasters, war, civil unrest, government actions, power outages, cyberattacks, or failures of third-party infrastructure providers.
16. General Provisions
- Entire Agreement: These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and any applicable engagement letter, constitute the entire agreement between you and SecureTax regarding the Platform and Services.
- Severability: If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, that provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
- No Waiver: Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of that right or provision.
- Assignment: You may not assign or transfer your rights or obligations under these Terms without our prior written consent. SecureTax may assign its rights and obligations freely.
- Electronic Communications: By using the Platform, you consent to receive communications from us electronically, including via email or notices posted on the Platform. These electronic communications satisfy any legal requirement that such communications be in writing.
